Who can refer
Anyone can make a referral to Parental Alienation Awareness, to help survive the abuse of alienating behaviours, gatekeeping and obstruction of parenting. We receive a variety of referrals from various professionals and organisations.
- Social prescribers refer alienated parents, partners and extended family members to us, to help with the overall wellbeing.
- GPs refer alienated parents to us. This will provide a medical record of the support needed.
- Department for Work and Pensions – let DWP know you have children and are being kept from parenting them. Tell DWP you’re struggling. Don’t mention ‘Parental Alienation’ – let them determine that. Tell them Westminster Job Centre DWP knows who we are.
- Social workers and those involved in mental health, legal services and community wellbeing groups can use this form.
- Employers, line managers, colleagues, education establishments and HR staff are able to make referrals.
- Family and friends will have been affected; they too can refer either themselves or the targeted parent.
- You too, as an alienated parent, partner or extended family member, can use this form to make a self-referral.
