Our PAA (Parental Alienation Awareness) county meetings comprise of alienated parents and extended family members who come together around their shared desire to learn, understand, express, and reach out to others experiencing the same abuse we know as ‘Parental Alienation’ i.e. ‘domestic abuse’, ‘intimate partner violence’, ‘child psychological abuse’.
The PAA meetings address our core aims, which are to raise awareness, educate and campaign against this form of child and domestic abuse to affect change. During the meetings, we promote a culture of equality and awareness about all aspects of parental alienation. Where possible, we provide non-discriminatory information for parents when talking about accessing child related services and/or the family court system during divorce, separation, and child contact disputes. This is with the aim of reducing the impact on children and their families during and after family breakdown.
We provide an opportunity to discuss and explore the issues and difficulties faced by the lives of children, non-resident parents and extended families affected by this form of emotional and psychological abuse.
Alienated parents and other family members victimised by this abuse are vulnerable individuals, which is why we place utmost importance on ‘safeguarding’ and ‘safe space’. Your stories have rarely been shared for many reasons, and your wellbeing has quite likely been severely impacted. At these county group ‘safe spaces’ you can share your story if you wish to do so, in a validating and welcoming, safe environment.
